Satin
Satins are a dual purpose breed raised for both meat and fur. The characteristic sheen of the Satin rabbit is caused by a gene mutation. These animals were send to Harvard University where geneticists determined that the mutation was due to a recessive gene for the shine and texture of the coat due to a transparent cuticle of the hair shaft.
